Meter Leak Indicator

Your water meter has a red triangular running indicator which if turning while water is not otherwise in use at your home, would signal a leak.  A slow turning red triangle reflects a slow leak such as a malfunctioning toilet while a quickly turning triangle indicates a much higher water loss such as a break in the main service line underground or a hose bib left open.

 

You may wish to shut off your water line at your own shut off valve between the districts meter and your home or contact Matt Gardner, the District Manager at 503-436-2790.
